Hotelier's Digest #2: Saving Money, Revenue Management with Meeting Rooms, and an Interview with Cloudbeds VP
I live in Kelowna, British Columbia. Last week, a wildfire grew rapidly in West Kelowna and, by evening, jumped across the lake into Kelowna. The impact on the community has been devastating: over a hundred homes lost, more than 15,000 people evacuated, and the destruction of Lake Okanagan Resort, a hotel that has hosted Canadian and British Prime Ministers over the years.
If you are able, please consider donating to the BC Wildfire Recovery Fund, which supports those affected across the province. You can learn more about the fires through local media at KelownaNow.
This edition includes articles on cost-saving strategies for hotel operations, AI developments in hotel search, revenue management ideas for meeting spaces, and a podcast interview with Cloudbeds VP Sebastien Leitner.
